{"id":174,"date":"2009-02-17T01:17:15","date_gmt":"2009-02-16T22:17:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fineeyewear.net\/wordpress\/?p=174"},"modified":"2009-02-17T01:17:15","modified_gmt":"2009-02-16T22:17:15","slug":"signs-of-possible-eye-problems-in-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/fineeyewear.net\/wordpress\/archives\/174","title":{"rendered":"Signs of Possible Eye Problems in Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If one or more of these signs appear, take your child to an eye doctor right away.<\/p>\n<p>What do your child&#8217;s eyes look like?<\/p>\n<p>    * eyes don&#8217;t line up, one eye appears crossed or looks out!<br \/>\n    * eyelids are red-rimmed, crusted or swollen<br \/>\n    * eyes are watery or red (inflamed)<\/p>\n<p>How does your child act?<\/p>\n<p>    * rubs eyes a lot<br \/>\n    * closes or covers one eye<br \/>\n    * tilts head or thrusts head forward<br \/>\n    * has trouble reading or doing other close-up work, or holds objects close to eyes to see<br \/>\n    * blinks more than usual or seems cranky when doing close-up work<br \/>\n    * things are blurry or hard to see<br \/>\n    * squints eyes or frowns<\/p>\n<p>What does your child say?<\/p>\n<p>    * &#8220;My eyes are itchy,&#8221; &#8220;my eyes are burning&#8221; or &#8220;my eyes feel scratchy.&#8221;&#8221;I can&#8217;t see very well.&#8221;<br \/>\n    * After doing close-up work, your child says &#8220;I feel dizzy,&#8221; &#8220;I have a headache&#8221; or &#8220;I feel sick\/nauseous.&#8221;<br \/>\n    * &#8220;Everything looks blurry,&#8221; or &#8220;I see double.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Remember, your child may still have an eye problem even if he or she does not complain or has not shown any unusual signs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If one or more of these signs appear, take your child to an eye doctor right away.
